As part of the Inspiring Women Over 40 series, Lisa Kelly shares her journey from corporate life to entrepreneurship. After a winding career path that began in the banking industry and evolved into corporate marketing, Lisa realized that working for others wasn't fulfilling. Her big leap came when she decided to start her own business, Salon Solutions, alongside her husband. Together, they’ve built one of Ireland’s leading companies providing branding, websites, and online solutions for salons and clinics, all while helping other women grow their businesses.

Lisa’s definition of success has transformed over time. It’s no longer about profits or corporate titles, but about staying true to herself and setting realistic expectations. She advocates for government support for startups to help entrepreneurs get off the ground, believing even a small grant could make a big difference. Through her own journey, Lisa hopes to inspire women of all ages to pursue their dreams, take risks, and go for it.

The "Inspiring Women Over 40" project is a tribute to women who defied convention, embraced their passions and redefined success on their own terms. Through an incredible photoshoot and a short interview I am telling the stories of 40 women over the age of 40, to celebrate their success and inspire others to live life on their own terms.

This project supports WorkEqual who promote progress by providing free support for anyone needing to enter or re-enter the workplace through one to one support. This can include interview preparation, CV writing and interview styling from their boutique in Smithfield all working towards building their confidence.
